The Induction Ceremony is the focal point of the golf calendar
every other year when new members are welcomed into the Hall of
Fame. The Ceremony is broadcast to an international audience.
The Induction process will now be governed by a Selection
Commission made up of 16 individuals who will be responsible for
electing candidates into the Hall of Fame, with each Inductee
needing at least 75 percent of the vote to gain entry.
The new process will include four categories under which an
individual may be considered for Induction: Male and Female
Competitor Categories and the Veterans and Lifetime Achievement
New members are recognized in a variety of ways upon their
Induction. Inductees receive a special Induction crystal trophy.
Bronze plaques for each are added to the Wall of Fame in Shell Hall
and personal items are added to their individual lockers in the
Members Locker Room. Additionally, special Inductee exhibits are
created for display throughout Shell Hall.
